PALOMA
MARQUEZ
I grew up in Chilecito, La Rioja, where my first drawings appeared. In this arid city surrounded by mountains, I studied music and beekeeping, audited the Visual Arts faculty, and became familiar with contemporary art through observing my mother, Alicia Alba. After completing secondary school, I emigrated to Buenos Aires to study for a degree in Audiovision at UNLa. I obtained a ProyectArte scholarship and later completed a Master's degree in Electronic Arts at UNTreF. I’m currently pursuing a PhD in Arts and Technoesthetics at UNTREF.
I worked as an assistant to photographer Jorge Roiger and painters Daniel Corvino and Eugenio Cuttica. I'm currently developing my visual, audio, and new media work.
