About the artwork
The moment when the rock fractures, as if for the very first time, revealing what seemed to have been hidden forever. Within its textures coexist miniature territories and cosmic vastnesses, carrying within itself the memory of all that has been and all that is yet to come.
In its slate-like darkness, it holds the weight of the depths; its veins of gold and pyrite, the oranges and reds of iron, garnets, goethite, and limonite—mineral fictions that narrate journeys known only to lithological witnesses, whose value is irrelevant at this stage.
Each mineral line is a channel of time. They are writings formed through millennia of pressure and erosion, records of processes that recognize no boundaries between past and future.
Within the fractured rock, invisible territories unfold where the solid merges with the ephemeral, and emptiness becomes a horizon.
